I approach therapy from a family systems perspective. I work with all kinds of clients in all kinds of configurations – adults, adolescents, individuals, couples, families, or any other intimate or close relationship. I meet with individuals, too, and I always take into consideration that my client is part of a couple, a family, a workplace, and a community.
I like to work with families and individuals across time. A family or individual may not need to meet with me continuously, but I am there to work with them as significant life events happen or lifecycle changes occur.
I am eager to have conversations with teens and young adults as they try out new ideas and identities, sort through complicated feelings, or simply get to be vulnerable. I love it even more when their families are a part of these conversations.
I am especially interested in working with clients and families experiencing chronic illness. My first career was as a Registered Nurse and I have personal experience with chronic illness, so I am uniquely qualified to work with this population.
